d.The kabod church Pt5

If we were to try to define the Glory of God, we would have trouble, because the glory of God is beyond definition just as it is beyond the human capacity to see it unveiled.

The Jews, over time, gave a name to this glory, they called it "Shekinah The word Shekinah is not in the bible, but it is so closely related to the word “dwelling”. It came to mean, over time, instead of literally "residence," or "dwelling,"—"God's visible presence." “The visible Majesty of the Divine Presence”.

In response to Moses’ cry to know the Lord and his ways (Ex 33:13) the Lord promised, ‘‘My Presence will go with you…" (v 14), triggering an even deeper cry, ‘‘Now show me your glory." (v 18).

And so, we see the ‘glory’ as the manifest presence, revealed in physical phenomena, and also in the divine attributes. Neither of these are optional extras. They are joined at the hip and are integral to an intimate walk with God.

The more we hunger for his presence the more we will be immersed in Him. As this happens we begin to look like Him, smell like Him, speak like Him, act like Him.

Right now God is restoring back His manifest, tangible presence back to the house of God. The ‘weight’ of his glory. This is an obvious sense of the awe and presence of God as he comes to his temple.
