When God opens Heaven

David Matthews, speaking about the Welsh revival, writes: A sense of the Lords presence was everywhere. It created a spiritual atmosphere. It didn’t matter, where one went the consciousness of the reality & nearness of God followed. It was felt in the revival gatherings, it was by no means confined to them; it was also felt in the homes, on the streets, in the mines & the factories, in the schools & even in the theatres & drinking houses. The strange thing was that where ever people gathered became a place of awe, & places of amusement & carousel were practically emptied…The course of the revival was irresistible. Its reports made up the chief feature in the South Wales press for many months. It overshadowed everything else. There was no building large enough to contain the crowds…Within 5 weeks, 20 000 were added to the churches in South Wales alone. Within 18 months 180 000 were added.

Is this what we want????

We need to pray for such an open heaven where He…would rend the heavens & come down, that the mountains would tremble before Him (Isa 64v1). It will not happen any other way. We can’t manufacture it. We can’t get it with out setting our mind to it. That His presence becomes our only focus!!!

Genesis 28v12 v10-17 10Now Jacob went out from Beersheba and went toward Haran. 11So he came to a certain place and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep. 12Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

13And behold, the LORD stood above it and said: “I am the LORD God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants. 14Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed. 15Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”

16Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it.17And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!”

The ladder seemed to give Jacob heavenly access just like John in Rev 3:8 talks about having an open door.

(These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. 8I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name).

Also in Rev 4:1 1After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here,

Again talking about UNHINDERED ACCESS into the heavenlies.

Today God moves where people are hungry for Him & single focused!

God says He has put before us an open door! If we are not experiencing an open heaven I believe it is because we have not asked for it. God has given us dominion & an open door straight to the heavenlies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God wants to show us this door to heaven & the stair case which angels ascend & descend. He wants to open a door into the heavens created not through human effort but by His gracious invitation, “Come up here”.!

I believe our focus has to be “REND THE HEAVENS LORD JESUS!” Come quickly!

May we not rest from taking our place before Him until it is so.
